Sin City Skates was the first Roller Derby specialty store established in 2005 by Ivanna S. Pankin and Trish the Dish. In January 2017, the torch was passed to new owner and long time teammate and friend, Kelly "Bo Toxic" Timm, who relocated to Clairemont in the heart of San Diego, California. Sin City Skates continues to serve the community in San Diego as well as skaters around the world.
Bo recently retired from ranking play but can be found coaching, skating for pick up teams and enjoying street and skate parks during her free time. Bo is a 10 year veteran and was a derby skater and coach for the San Diego Derby Dolls banked track and SoCal Derby flat track leagues.
Every one that works at Sin City Skates is or was a high level player. We have the knowledge to help you because we skate ourselves. If we wouldn't use it, we won't sell it. Everything is rigorously tested by our staff before recommending to our customers.
Ivanna started the shop doing mail-order in her living room in Las Vegas in November of 2005 when she got tired of buying crappy gear at inflated prices from stores that knew nothing about roller derby or equipment for our sport. Ivanna's co-captain, best friend and biggest rival, Trish the Dish, joined the crew shortly after to help her with the first "Christmas Rush" and the shop has just grown from there!
Sin City Skates has moved a few times now - temporarily to Tucson, Arizona, and finally landed in San Diego, where Bo Toxic has grown into the neighborhood with more derby gear, recreational skating and park skates. We were the first derby shop and we're still the best, with the most stock on hand and the most awesome, knowledgeable, patient and experienced employees ready to help you get exactly what you need to play your very best game.
