Sure-Grip SUGAR hybrid indoor / outdoor Wheels
62mm * 85A
"Sweet on any surface" - NO LIE.
Ivanna designed these wheels to serve as true indoor / outdoor wheels. They are outdoor
bouncy urethane formula on the standard wide indoor shape. Ever noticed how regular outdoor wheels
on a derby track are somehow slippery and slow at the same time? The worst of both worlds! Ivanna
thinks its because the rounded off, narrow-ish, usually tall shape feels wobbly on tight turns, and
the narrow shape gives you less "grab" for quick laterals.
So Sugar wheels are all about the shape. The wider, squared off shape is the time-tested
grippiest for laterals and tight turns. The shape makes them grippy, and the width & outdoor
urethane give them bounce
that makes your stride feel like you have a little extra launch in it, so it doesn't feel slow. Perfect
for super slippery surfaces and scrimmaging on asphalt and other outdoor rough surfaces, as well.
We tested them at the beach scrimmage (asphalt, uphill track) and Ivanna jammed every other in them. We
tested them at our San Diego facility (slippery coated plywood flat track; slippery painted
masonite banked track) and they were
so super awesome that Ivanna got scared and took them off before she got too accustomed to
them (and was then unable to skate on slippery surfaces in shitty wheels again). We love these wheels.
Ivanna thinks they work better when you use all eight! Trish wears them as pushers.
Can I get a witness?

"A number of the girls in my league showed up with these (or at least a set of 4 as pushers)
to our bout against the Arch Rival Roller Girls St. Lunachix this weekend at the Boone County
Fairgrounds in Columbia, MO (slippery, slippery oil/kerosene-cleaned concrete that is used for
livestock events/car shows, etc). As long as we kept them clean with white vinegar several
times a period they performed AMAZINGLY!! I wore all 8 and I got MVP as a blocker
(and usually super slick floors are a disaster for me). I will be buying a second set for my other pair of skates as soon as my tax return comes ;D"
