Riedell TORQ
Similar boot design as Carerras and Targas, but with different decorative elements!
These skates were originally designed for recreational skaters and casual jam skaters. They are
very good starter skates for rookie rollergirls with narrow feet, but they are not likely to
hold up for longer than a season or so of serious track time.
This package Includes:
* Reidell 701 Torq split-leather boot with padded ankles
* No ankle bite boot-height with good arch support
* Double-action aluminum trucks w/ sturdy med.-hardness cushions
* Kwik ABEC-5 8mm Precision Bearings
* Adjustable black mini-toe stops
* These are UNBELIEVABLY light skates.
Extra features the Targas DON'T have:
* Laces start higher on toe and attach to underside of boot lip
* They don't grind off during falling drills!
* Speed strap has continuous velcro - fits high insteps &
skaters with ankle braces
* PowerDyne Torq nylon extra light plate
* Plate is bolted to boot (rather than riveted) - significantly sturdier
* Radar GRIPPY 95A Torq Wheels in black MDI urethane - 62mm
* (Compare to Purple Fugitives)
Note: the toe box on the Torq is narrower and stiffer than Targas and doesn't break in much.
So if you have wide feet, I would recommend
choosing a size larger or choosing another skate.
Nothing is more important than tootie comfort!
Torq skaters are manufactured and assembled in China, so the wheels and bearings cannot be
upgraded and drop-shipped through Riedell. Additional wheels and upgraded bearings can be purchased separately,
however.
