Standard shipping to US destinations is UPS ground
or USPS Priority Mail.
USPS PRIORITY MAIL *estimates* but doesn't guarantee 3 days to anywhere in the US. It seems closer to 5 days to Alaska & Hawaii.
They estimate 6-10 days outside the US, not including customs.
We often use UPS for domestic orders, especially skates.
Here's how long it takes to send:
UPS Ground from our shop in CA to YOU.
UPS Ground from our warehouse in MN to YOU.
We *almost always* ship from our store in San Diego.
If you're interested in overnight or expedited shipping,
please give us a call to let us know you're in a rush, and to get an idea of how much it will cost and exactly when you can expect your stuff.
We are happy to ship internationally - to anywhere. If you live somewhere super far
where shipping is
expensive, email us and we can talk about options for saving money.
We ship regularly to Germany, UK (including Scotland & Ireland),
China, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Canada. International orders
default to a $65 charge in paypal because that is the cost to send anything in a USPS Large Flat Rate Box (and that's about the
size box most skates fit in) - but if actually costs us less, we refund the difference. If its more, we'll invoice
you. But don't be alarmed; $65 was the best number we could think of that would cover most orders.
CUSTOMS FEES and TARIFFS International shipments are subject to customs fees charged by the
recieving country. The rates are determined
by each individual country based on the value of the goods in that country's currency, which changes
constantly. Many international skaters try to combine their orders to save on shipping. But shipping is based
on weight, so there is often not much of a
savings - and often larger value orders incur the attention of customs, meaning: customs fees! So please check your country's
import laws. It might be worthwhile to have us ship multiple packages worth less. We're sorry, but we can't
undervalue packages; we could be fined $30,000 US. But if you know what your customs thresholds are, we can work with you to
package your goods in a way that costs you the least amount of shipping and customs.
We work crazy hours, but our distributors
and the gear manufacturers don't, so please assume that your order will be processed
during business hours on business days. That means if you order skates on Saturday night with overnight delivery,
they will usually ship on Monday or Tuesday (depending on what you order) and
you will get them the day after that. You can try giving us a call anytime, but the best time to call us is
between 10am and 6pm Pacific time. We work after practice a lot, too, to keep up on orders, so we do sleep in sometimes - but not past
10am (least not usually). But you can't hear us cussing when you call super early, so go ahead and try!
Custom orders sometimes take longer. You know this! So please don't be annoyed if you
order something special and it takes a few days before it ships.
Turnaround times:
- Wide width *stretching* upgrades usually add an extra day to your order and they all drop-ship via
UPS Ground (not 3-day!). So they take a little over a week in business days to get to you.
- Custom-built wide skates usually take 4 weeks to build and ship UPS Ground, and can be made in E or EE widths.
- Custom leather colors or special boots / sizing can take weeks,
if its specially made to your specs. Please ask for an estimate
when you order.
- Custom helmet panties & ref jerseys with sewn-on backs usually take a week to send out to sew.
- Upgraded skates (different wheels, upgraded bearings, etc) generally add a day to
get them made especially to your requests.
We will notify you when you order if we anticipate any other delays.
